Design Assignment
This assignment was made more difficult because I did not know what I wanted to use as a topic for the assignment. I spent a lot of time trying to come up with a theme for the site and what I wanted my design to say. In the end I tried to use the browns and muted colors of the desert, where the war was fought as the overall feel of the site while keeping the Victorian patterns in the background. I also liked to use the red and bright colors for the British. It matches the ceremony that the British used to try and subdue smaller nations. By using an emphasis of red for certain phrases I tried to show the relationship between the Boer war and the current war in Iraq.
